Science and method
Begin with how the framework maps, classifies, measures and steers change.
Entry map · two minutes
Five reading paths and a short glossary for a framework that sees suffering and recovery as movement—without shrinking the science or losing the person.
You do not need to read in sequence. Choose the question closest to your life and return to the map when a new term appears.
Flow Hijacked begins with a simple proposition: mental states are not frozen objects. They are patterns through time inside a system of brain, body, memory, relationship, environment and meaning. A state becomes especially dangerous when it is not only painful, but also reduces the number of credible ways out.
Addiction is a powerful example of that compression. One route to relief becomes fast, familiar and heavily weighted; other routes remain important but lose the force to compete. Recovery is not only removal of the substance. It is the reconstruction of repertoire, belonging, reward, identity, return capacity and a future able to influence the present.
Mathematics helps formulate questions about attractors, thresholds, amplification, stability and reachability. It does not prove that a person is an equation. The models on this site are research scaffolds and a language for inquiry; they are not validated diagnostics, risk scores or substitutes for professional judgment.
What is happening now?
What makes it likely?
How is it changing over time?
What reopens movement?
Each path makes a different sequence through the same volume.
Begin with how the framework maps, classifies, measures and steers change.
Follow the path from captured relief to identity, freedom, ordinary life and belonging.
Read the field that supports recovery, the signs of re-capture and the identity that carries freedom through time.
Move from having relief toward ordinary, existential, ecological and temporal freedom.
Read the argument in sequence, from the geometry of one life to futures that can influence the present.
A map of possible states—and the routes that are genuinely available from here.
Patterns the system repeatedly falls toward, and the region from which that pull operates.
One route becomes fast and dominant while other rewards lose enough force to stop competing.
Not perfect control, but enough routes to move and enough resilience to come back.
A later life gains enough self-connection and credibility to influence action now.
